This is the track the plays at the end of the Everything Is Illuminated trailer (which movie was an impressive adaptation of an impossible-to-adapt book).

Also, it's pronounced "DYEV-otch-ka" (po moemu).

what a song. I saw them accidently for the first time a couple years ago opening (just nick & tom) for a show in Denver, and was blown away. it was strange their music wasn't actually in the movie though, huh. instead a bunch of gogol bordello songs. just found your blahg and I'm really digging the current page! so it looks like I'll be heading upstream through the stacks. thank you :)

This amazing song is also on the Little Miss Sunshine OST. A non-vocal adaptation greets you on the opening scene.

english, the gogol bordello guy nailed alex better than i thought possible. can't really get into their music though. i hope you like the stacks. i won't post a song unless i really like it. matthew, i'm going to see little miss sunshine tomorrow night and i'm afraid it won't be as good as i want it to be. that m83 song on your site is new to me and it has to be listened to again. cheers

I've seen Little Miss Sunshine twice in the past week. I'm not sure how critical you are of films, but for me, I was hooked on the movie after the first five minutes.
