Zooey

Zooey - Rendez-vous

There's a lot of inertia working against this song for the first minute and a half. A lot. And then it stops, regroups, finds itself, and blasts off. Well done, Zooey.

Zooey - Endless Summer of the Beaver

This was the first Zooey song I heard, courtesy of 3hive. It wins because it's called "Endless Summer of the Beaver" and because it sounds like childhood just like Boards of Canada sometimes sounds like childhood.

Zooey has generously made many of his songs available for download at his trove. There you might find a pleasant homage to The Beach Boys and a cover of an old Weezer b-side.

Also, cheers to Alan at sixeyes for the link.

Not to sound petty (which i'm sure it absolutely does) but... i posted about them just before the excellent 3hive at Molly O'Poverty's Guide To (Mostly) Free Music: http://www.mollyopoverty.com/?p=244 Maybe pettiness will bring me a reader or two! Keep up the fine work!
