Stereolab

What this song needs to be is in your iTunes. I've been debating for months about which Stereolab song to put up here, which song captures them best, which song is the best example of 3-songs-in-1, and so forth. It was too hard to make that decision. So it boiled down to which song I listen to the most. And there are so many little treasures and crescendos in this song, esp. in the second half. But I'm not going to ruin for you one of the joyful processes of music listening, the discovery process. Because, you know, I could if I wanted to.
And if you're one of those fans who used to love Stereolab but are really disappointed by every album since Cobra & Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night, I guess that's okay.

Didn't know we had over 5 hours of Stereolab on our itunes until now. Been listening all day, including this one at least 5 times. Reminds me a bit of Ivy, which is nostalgic and nice.Posted by: chanelle at November 16, 2005 07:26 PM

I also love the "captain easychord" song even if it's one of the latter Stereolab. Beautiful song, never heard it before, thank u.Posted by: Moka at November 17, 2005 04:21 PM

I'm sure you're right, Mike. I just never listened to it before. I am a creature of habit.Posted by: chanelle at November 18, 2005 05:51 PM
chanelle, how would you describe yourself? i mean, as far as what kind of creature you are.Posted by: jimweed at November 18, 2005 05:59 PM
i almost didn't post that because i thought you might think i was making fun of you (except, i am amused by the word "creature"). i like your response quite a bit. that's a lot what my experience with music is like. especially the killing part.Posted by: jimweed at November 19, 2005 05:29 AM
