Wolf Parade - You Are A Runner And I Am My Father's Son

I saw these folks this weekend and that was some racket they made. My prediction is that the tension between the two singers (the guy in the front and the guy on the left) will eventuate in a premature breakup. But not after that tension renders a few more goood things. Their debut EP comes out in a week from tomorrow.

Then the Arcade Fire and Bell Orchestre got on stage and it was grand. All of those EP songs they have that are kind of "meh" somehow all of a sudden became really good. After the last encore Win went through the crowd to the venue entrance and contuned to perform. My friend witnessed that and said, "more like Arcade Foyer." Which was somewhat clever.

I just had a preview listening of "Apologies to the Queen Mary" yesterday, and I can't decide how I feel about these guys. It's sort of enjoyable but it's not so much that I crave a repeat listen.

What did you think of Bell Orchestre? I'm pretty excited for that record!

they didn't perform separately so it's hard to know. it was pretty much the same lineup for arcade fire when i saw them in san diego with a french horn added (w/ no shoes) and another guy jumping around without much restraint. they were selling bell orchestre records and i kind of wish i had bought one.
