The High Llamas

The High Lllamas - Leaf and Lime

You were brought by train and cab
to this green and felted slab
Will these corners never end
I have tasks I must attend

The first entry on The House of Leaf & Lime was one year ago today. Today's entry contains the track which was the inspiration for the Leaf & Lime moniker. It's from the 2003 release Beet, Maize & Corn. If you don’t like this song or you snicker when you hear it, that’s too bad. The breezy pleasantries herein are what the weather on all Saturdays should be like. Early 20th century composition with a touch of the 50s. Kind of that thing where you’re barefoot and half asleep on your bed, the window’s open, a cool breeze coming through the window, iTunes on random, and then this comes on. That thing.

Thank you to pq who allows me to do this.

I am a fan of the High Llamas and would love to see them which I doubt will happen. Order Beet, Maize & Corn here.
