Rivers Cuomo
Rivers Cuomo - Tommorow (from the musical Annie)
This track was on Rivers' myspace page last summer until his lawyers told him to take it down because of Daddy Warbucks. The reason I'm posting it is because it is really good and it gives me hope that Rivers can still make a good thing.
I'm sad about the new Weezer album. It's total sausage. Actually, I've only heard a couple of songs and the iTunes snippets so maybe it will turn out to be great. Let me know. Matthew at Fluxblog (who writes with a deft and discriminating pen) posts a song and has good things to say. And then there's the 0.4 on Pitchfork which, how do you get 0.4? Why not 0.6 or 1.3? Or is that the joke?

i tried to comment and i think it didn't work because i pushed preview not post. but anyway i think it said that i bought ye olde albume today and it's not as bad as some might think (and i make a point of not reading about decimals at switchblade.net). there are some good songs and though there is some sense of disappointment, there's also this attitude in which i think of the big picture which is: "i'm alive like you, so please, hello, i'm here, i'm waiting."Posted by: chatlas at May 10, 2005 11:17 PM
Dude, Rivers is a total songwriting God, I wish he was younger, he'd have more time to write awesome songs. I've only now started to be a fan, but, man, I could listen to his stuff all day. Totaly awesome stuff!Posted by: Becky at June 7, 2005 01:56 PM
