Gravity's Bring Me Down
This is twee pop from England. Twee means "understandably annoying to most people." This music is springlike, chirpy, melancholic, and with a slight hint of edge. Heavenly eventually turned into Marine Research. I just learned this and it makes more sense than anything else in the world. Today wasn't the best day of the year for a guy on many levels and I feel like whining and I am annoyed by whining so this polarity within me only exacerbates the situation. And then "Space Manatee" came on (iTunes on random has proven to be a good adventure) and I felt a bit better. So I thought I might put it up here.

I can't tell if the author of this "blagh" is an intellectual music snob or just aspiring to reach the level of muscial criticism at pitchfork. Can someone help me out?Posted by: Trying hard at November 3, 2004 05:26 PM
